How do I import a workout from a URL?
Found a workout somewhere else — a gym's website, a competition results page, a friend's post? Paste the link into BoxBoard and it reads the page for you: title, scoring type, and the workout details, ready to review before you save it.
Import a workout
- Open Import Workout from the main menu (look for the "New" badge).
- Paste a link under Workout URL, or switch to Paste Details Yourself and type or paste the workout text directly.
- Tap Import Workout. BoxBoard fetches the page and reads out a title, scoring type, and description.
- Review the result on the next screen — every field is editable, including the title, so you can fix anything BoxBoard got wrong before saving.
- Tap Add & Schedule.
Where it goes
If you're a gym admin, you'll be asked whether to add it to your gym's program (everyone at your box sees it on the schedule) or keep it just for you. Everyone else — individual members and regular gym members — goes straight to their own workout log.
If BoxBoard can't read the page
Some pages don't parse cleanly — a link that's dead, a page with no real workout content, or one that sits behind a login. When that happens, BoxBoard tells you what went wrong and lets you try a different link or paste the workout details in yourself instead.
Tips
- Copy a link before opening BoxBoard — if it's still on your clipboard, BoxBoard offers to use it automatically.
- The title isn't required. If BoxBoard can't find one, it'll default to "Untitled Workout" so you can name it yourself.
