What happens when a member's payment fails?

When a member's card fails, Stripe automatically retries it over the following days, and the member sees a notice with a secure link to pay the open invoice or update their card. Most failures resolve on their own.

Your controls
Delinquent members appear in the Needs attention section of your Memberships dashboard, showing what's owed and how many days they're past due. For each one you can:
- Cancel at period end — membership ends when the paid period runs out.
- Cancel now — ends the membership immediately.
- Deactivate member — removes their gym access in BoxBoard.
Whether a past-due member can still attend class is your call — BoxBoard never locks anyone out automatically.
